It is my great hope that those of you who were able to join us on the retreat found rest. Maybe you had some extra sleep (maybe not). Maybe you were able to have some significant conversations with one another. Maybe you heard something said in one of the sessions that brought comfort or godly conviction and helped you find renewed joy in the Lord.
Seeing you interact and have fun together, eat together, make s'mores together, pray together, and retreat together made my heart sing.
Thank you to all of you from our family. It was certainly not the weekend Alaina and I had anticipated, but the Lord doesn't always give us gifts of mercy that are shaped the way we think mercy should be. He still proves faithful. Zane is doing very well, despite his weekend in the hospital.
If you are here next year, we have penciled in our reservation at Isola for April 19-21, 2024. So add that to your calendars and plan to join us!
