MEET THE STAFF
LOREN HOLLAND - LEAD PASTOR
Loren and Alaina Holland are passionate about seeing transient people find lasting purpose in Jesus Christ. They themselves are internationals with over 20 years of experience living overseas. Although born in the U.S., they grew up in Ecuador and Venezuela. They met as students in an International high school in Ecuador and later married in 2009. Loren holds a degree in Business Management from Thomas Edison State University and a Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Alaina holds a bachelors in Physical Education from Union University. They have four amazing kids. As a family, they are very excited to serve internationals living in Rome.
JEFF RINEHART - ELDER
Jeff serves as an elder and, together with his wife Robbin, leads our Young Adults Ministry. They also facilitate weekly small groups that help people grow in faith and build meaningful relationships. Jeff has a deep passion for discipleship and is committed to creating space for authentic community and spiritual growth. Robbin also helps lead women’s Bible studies and has a heart for encouraging women in their walk with God. Outside of church, Jeff loves cycling, traveling around Italy, and spending quality time with his family.
BRUCE NHERERA - ELDER
Bruce has been part of the RIC community since 2022 and currently serves as an elder. He is also actively involved in our Sunday School ministry, where he helps coordinate and teach sessions for adults. Bruce is passionate about biblical teaching and finds great joy in helping others deepen their understanding of God’s Word. Outside of church, he enjoys traveling with his family and watching or playing sports.
ROCIO GARCIA - ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Rocio was born in the Andes region of Venezuela [Merida] and moved to Italy 5 years ago. She enjoys hiking beautiful trails with her daughter. God used the people of Rome International Church to lead Rocio to know and follow her Lord Jesus Christ, so she is thankful to get to serve and care for her RIC family in this way. She is passionate about helping international people as she has lived as an expat for most of her life.
