“But you are [sojourners and exiles (vs 11)], a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”
A LOT happened on Sunday! Lots of planning, praying, and preparing. But what is accomplished was the proclaiming of the excellencies of him who called us out of darkness into his marvelous light. The gospel of the risen Savior was heard and seen, displayed by his body loving one another and welcoming the stranger. I love moments like these.
My prayer is that through our easter celebration, you were reminded of the cost paid for your sin, and you were led to worship Him again for His victory over your sin and death. Isn't it good to know that he redeems you into a people group whose commonality is Jesus?
A Big Thank You to all of our volunteers who helped in so many ways. The musicians who led us in worship, the guys on PowerPoint and sound, the crew who hid eggs, and prepared our fellowship time, to all those who brought food and prepared candy bags, to all who watched over children, and thousand other tasks that went unnoticed, but made a huge difference. It took so many to do so much! Thank you!
