He is Risen Indeed! — Rome International Church

This week we begin reading the book of Acts in our Bible reading plan. Jesus ascends into the sky and promises power; the Holy Spirit. But that power is given for a purpose; to be witnesses. Witnesses of what? The risen Jesus. Multiple times in the first four chapters we hear Peter saying they are witnesses to the risen savior, Jesus, whom God raised from the dead!

This is the church! Filled with the Spirit, to proclaim the risen Jesus, to love him, to worship him, and to look forward to his return.

May his Spirit invigorate us to do as those early disciples did, to witness to the risen Jesus to a world in need of truth, in need of hope, in need of new life.
