The Church Address

The Church

Address

The Church Address has two purposes. The first is to address the body of Christ that associates itself with the gathering at Via Bruno Serotini 61. Mid-week, there are passages of Scripture that I bring to you via email that I hope will encourage you if not push you back into the Word to discover more of Jesus. Prayer & Praise are drawn from two sources as well as current happenings. Announcements will have to do with events and activities that we think are important to the life of the church. So, we ask you to join if you can, if you cannot be present or involved, at least be in prayer for those happenings. Finally, you'll find a fun end-list where I share resources, experiences, and tools that I find helpful in my walk with Jesus. Often these are books, many of which can be found in our library. (Email romeinternationalchurch@gmail.com to be added to the email list and receive these weekly emails.)

The second purpose of the Church Address is to highlight where we are as a church. The Church Address is also a location, a spiritual one that helps define where we are at: Here & Now Together on Mission. Each of us is participating in the life of God's Kingdom in some way or another. Together we are experiencing his transformative work as he determines the present participants in the structure he is building, his church. The Church Address helps us climb the tree in the thick forest so we can look around and see where we are on our mission together.

Welcome Sunday was one way we celebrated being Here & Now Together on Mission. In joyful obedience to Jesus, we sought to extend the welcome of Jesus, just as Jesus has welcomed us:

Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.
— Romans 15:7

So, here we are, in Rome. It's September 2022. God is forming his church through the gospel of Jesus Christ. And what a miraculous surprise, that you and I get to join him in sharing that good news together! I am eagerly looking forward to entering this season with you all to see how Jesus will lead us in loving him as he builds his church.

Together for his Kingdom,

Loren
